A LOSING GAME FOR COMPANY

High street chain Game has been left reeling by the booming success of Nintendo’s Switch console.

The video games specialist revealed it couldn’t get enough of the must-have gadgets to meet demand.

As a result, it said annual profits would be “substantially below” expectations.

The admission triggered a 34% slump in Game Digital’s share price yesterday.

Game said: “Consumer demand for Nintendo Switch has been, and remains, very strong.

“However the level of supply to the UK market has been lower than expected.”
