CREATION Centre Court A WIMBLEDON fan has re-created Centre Court using 12,000 toothpicks.

Shaminder Singh, 31, pictured below, spent 10 months cutting and gluing the pieces in his bedroom.

His replica features the Royal Box plus the court’s retractable roof, balconies and stairwells.

The forklift truck driver, from Coventry, said he worked on the model for 40 hours a week – and bought the toothpicks from dozens of supermarkets to get the perfect mix of colours. FOCUSED Andy Murray at pre-Wimbledon press conference DEFENDING Wimbledon champ Andy Murray is expecting a second child with wife Kim.

The pair confirmed yesterday that 17-month-old Sophia will be gaining a sibling, saying they were “very happy” to add to their family.

And Murray, 30, denied it would be a distraction for him as he gets his Championship campaign under way today.

The world No1 has had a poor 2017 and was forced to pull out of two exhibition matches through injury last week – and was also dumped out of the Queen’s Club competition in the first round two weeks ago. Murray said: “I’ve had family the whole time I’ve been playing tennis so yeah, I’ll be fine dealing with that. It’s certainly not a distraction in the slightest. “We’re both obviously very happy and looking forward to it.”

He confirmed Kim, 29, would be watching from the stands, as always, during the next fortnight.

Bookmakers are already offering odds of 500-1 that the newborn will follow in Andy’s footsteps by winning Wimbledon one day. Murray begins the defence of his title today against Russian Alexander Bublik, 20. TENTS WAIT The traditional ticket queue starts yesterday
