Hammers are on the prowl for Raul

WEST HAM have joined Liverpool in the chase for Benfica marksman Raul Jimenez.

The Mexican international (left), who was sent off against Portugal in the Confederations Cup thirdplace play-off yesterday, moved to Benfica from Atletico Madrid two years ago after complications prevented a potential move to east London.

The 26-year-old, on the mark against New Zealand in an earlier Confederations Cup match, is valued by Benfica at £19million.

He scored 11 goals for his club last season.
