WHAT IS IT? Umbilicus
The umbilicus is your belly button. It’s a hollowed or sometimes raised area on the abdomen where the umbilical cord used to be attached.
Parts of the belly button are the umbilical tip, the centre and the periumbilical skin, which surrounds it.
If the umbilical tip is protruding past the periumbilical skin, it’s called an outie. Belly buttons that are concave are called innies.
