TENSION Dominatrix Sherry and her date John

C4, 10pm Tonight’s episode is largely enjoyable for the various reactions to Sherry, 65, as she reveals that she’s a dominatrix.

Barman Merlin tries his best to maintain normal conversation, but looks largely perplexed and slightly flushed.

“It’s not sexual,” says Sherry. “I don’t touch them, they don’t touch me – except for my feet.” Well that seems reasonable.

She goes on to explain that her clients are her slaves who will do whatever she wants. But although she takes charge at work, she wants to find an equal when it comes to love.

When her date walks in – 67-year-old chartered surveyor John – it’s impossible not to feel tense as we wait for him to ask the million-dollar question: “What do you do for a living?” For Sherry, his reaction will be all-important.

Elsewhere, Gemma, 19, tells Essex boy Jack, 24, that she’s the person who talks to you when you’re stuck in a lift. “Not all heroes wear capes,” she says.

And there’s also a Christmas tree farmer looking for magic.
