KEITA’S KEEN TO NAB REDS MOVE

- BY DAVID ANDERSON AND DARREN LEWIS

NABY KEITA has his heart set on a move to Liverpool, according to Reds hero Titi Camara.

Red Bull Leipzig want a staggering £70million for the 22-year-old who last season helped them into the Champions League.

Boss Jurgen Klopp is prepared to shatter Anfield’s transfer record but believes he can get the German club to lower their price.

Camara (right), a cult hero in his Liverpool days, claims Leipzig are resigned to losing his fellow Guinean. He said on Twitter: “From what I’m led to believe Naby has his heart set on LFC. “Leipzig have been informed of his intent and are looking for a replacement. If the deal is successful Naby has requested No.8 shirt.” Liverpool will hope Camara is right as they step up their bid to lure the midfielder (above), who Leipzig insist is not for sale. Keita has a €55m (£48m) release clause in his contract, from July next year, but Liverpool are willing to pay more than that to sign him now. He scored eight times and had eight assists in his first Bundesliga season.
