‘Cry Baby’ wrestles cops

-

SHACKLED wrestling legend Jim Breaks grapples with two Spanish officers as he is taken back to the flat where his ex-partner was found dead.

Breaks appeared confused as he was led into the ocean-view property ahead of a forensic search by experts drafted in following the death of Donna Cowley.

Struggling against the policemen, he shouted, “Will you help me?” to press and TV crews as he was led to the flat in the Gran Canaria holiday resort of Puerto Rico. A star in the 1980s and known as “Cry Baby” in the ring, he faces dying in jail after being warned he could be sentenced to up to 19 years if convicted of Donna’s homicide.

Breaks, 80, is also being investigated for allegedly undermining the authority of the law, following what the Spanish Civil Guard have described as an act of “active resistance”.

Donna’s post mortem results have not been made public but well-placed sources have suggested the investigating judge’s decision to remand Breaks in jail on suspicion of killing the expat point to a link between an alleged assault and her death.

Yorkshire-born Donna called police to the flat they shared just after midnight on Friday and cops reportedly found Breaks watching the TV on his sofa while she was tending to her wounds in the bathroom.

She later died in hospital. The 47-year-old reportedly fell on hard times after succumbing to drink problems and issues with poor health.
