Carol’s world flight dream to take wing
CAROL Vorderman is still determined to do the solo round-the-world flight she put on hold as her beloved mum died of cancer.
The former Countdown host, 56, spent time with Jean before she passed away aged 88 last month.
But she said the flight could happen in “two or three years”, adding: “I’ll probably start [flying] again in July. I’m just starting to re-engage. I’m taking things gently.”
And Carol, who presents the Mirror’s Pride Of Britain Awards, is looking forward to this year’s bash in October. But she added: “I try to get rid of all my tears beforehand.
“I know the backstories but my job is making sure all the winners manage to say all the things they want to and have a great time.”
