Acton faces major ban

-

LEIGH CENTURIONS forward Jamie Acton is one of 10 Super League players handed charges from the weekend’s matches – and could be banned for more than eight games.

Acton has been handed a grade F charge of contrary behaviour, after picking up a prone Greg Bird from the floor during Saturday’s defeat at Catalans.

The prop has already been found guilty of offences three times this season, collecting two suspensions.

Bird is one of four Dragons’ players referred from the same match, alongside Richie Myler, Fouad Yaha and Benjamin Garcia.

St Helens’ Jon Wilkin (dangerous contact) and Castleford’s Jake Webster (high tackle) also face charges.
