Kiss and tell the trolls to get lost

I’m no big fan of the Beckhams but the attacks on David for kissing his kids on the lips are pure poison.

He came out fighting – or do I mean kissing? – after a tirade of online attacks for a picture posted of him pecking five-year-old Harper.

The subtext here is there must be something sexual about the kiss and, therefore we’re led to imagine, David has some kind of perverted tendencies.

I kiss my kids on the lips and have never thought anything of it. It’s one of the most natural human actions.

If Beckham watchers really can’t tell the difference between a parents’ loving kiss and a pervert’s illegal abuse then the parenting they should really be analysing is their own.
