THE Mirror’s Tricia Phillips has been named consumer reporter of the year.

She was recognised for her ability to cut through complex issues and get to the facts which affect our readers most.

The title was awarded at the Journalist of the Year Awards yesterday.

Emma Munbodh from Mirror Online was also highly commended.
