May climate challenge at Trump talks

G20 SUMMIT May & Trump THERESA May will challenge Donald Trump on climate change when they meet tomorrow.

The PM and US President will hold talks at the G20 summit in Hamburg, Germany – Mrs May’s most high-profile meeting since election humiliation.

A senior UK Government official said Mrs May would stress the UK’s support for the Paris Agreement, which Mr Trump has rejected. The official said: “She will say that we don’t see any need for renegotiation.”

The pair are also expected to discuss the new missile test by North Korea. “Our focus is on working with the US and international community,” said the official.
