Ariana’s birthday love to youngest victim Saffie
ARIANA Grande paid tribute to Saffie Roussos, the youngest of the 22 victims killed in the arena attack, in the week she would have been nine.
Following a concert in Buenos Aires, the US singer tweeted: “Saffie, we’re (thinking) of you baby”, alongside a birthday cake emoji.
Saffie, who was one of seven children killed, would have celebrated her ninth birthday on July 4.
Her family remembered how she had counted the “seconds” to the concert. Older sister Ashlee Bromwich said Saffie was “elated” as she watched her idol perform. Her father, Andrew Roussos, whose wife is still recovering, added: “We’ve lost everything.”
Dozens of friends and family released balloons in tribute outside the family’s fish and chip shop in Leyland, Lancs.
Meanwhile, Ariana’s brother Frankie James called the “inspirational” singer a “beacon of light” following the attack.
