COMEDY

-

BBC1, 8.30pm

If the sight of someone falling off a chair tickles your funny bone, then this sitcom will be half-anhour of sheer joy.

And if the prospect of that person falling off the chair for a second time has you bellylaughing, boy are you in trouble.

If, however, you’re rolling your eyes and they have begun to glaze over, then this is probably not for you.

It’s a Marmite show, in the same vein as Mrs Brown’s Boys, but loyal fans will not want to MOODY Count Arthur, right miss a single episode. Arthur (Steve Delaney) is in a mood as usual. In this instance it’s because he’s messed up an audition for a toffee advert.

But this episode is titled The Lucky Streak, which gives you some indication of what’s to come. As we wait for Arthur’s change of fortune, there’s a good gag about Benedict Cumberbatch.

And then the news reaches Arthur. While not that dramatic, for him it’s life-changing. But will it make him any happier?

Well, we wouldn’t want that. REMINDER Journalist Jamie
