LEGENDS LOOK IN ON POCHETTINO

- BY TOM HOPKINSON

MAURICIO POCHETTINO welcomed what would have been a legendary Tottenham five-a-side team to the club’s training ground as he took a break from planning for the new season.

Jimmy Greaves, widely regarded as Spurs and England’s greatest goalscorer, was joined by former teammates and close pals Pat Jennings, 72, Cliff Jones, 82, and Alan Gilzean, 72.

Alongside that quartet was Ossie Ardiles, who at 64 is the spring chicken of the group.

Greavsie, 77, has been wheelchair-bound since a stroke in 2015, but was at White Hart Lane in April to check on how the new stadium was progressing and has now visited the training complex in Enfield.

On his visit to the stadium, Greaves told his son, Danny: “It’s marvellous... I want to have a kickabout.”
