Hammers wage war for Javier

JAVIER HERNANDEZ is demanding £140,000-a-week to join West Ham.

The Bayer Leverkusen striker (above) is available for £13million and the Irons need reinforcements up front – although his wage demand has left them reeling.

It would make him the club’s top earner, eclipsing £100,000-a-week Andy Carroll.

West Ham are trying to reach a compromise but are aware the 29-year-old has an even more lucrative offer on the table from LA Galaxy.
