‘Sex on duty’ se­nior cop is sus­pended

A SE­NIOR po­lice of­fi­cer has been sus­pended amid claims he had sex with a col­league while on duty.

Chief Insp Rob Leet has been re­moved from his post pend­ing an in­ves­ti­ga­tion into gross mis­con­duct by the In­de­pen­dent Po­lice Com­plaints Com­mis­sion.

The Sus­sex Po­lice probe into Mr Leet and Sgt Sarah Porter be­gan in March.

Nei­ther of­fi­cer was sus­pended then, but a spokesman con­firmed that an­other of­fi­cer is now car­ry­ing out Mr Leet’s du­ties. Po­lice would not say if fur­ther ac­tion was taken against Sgt Porter.

The in­ves­ti­ga­tion be­gan days af­ter Insp Tony Lumb, based in Brighton, was ar­rested and sus­pended over claims of im­proper sex­ual re­la­tion­ships with women while on duty
