More singers will Pitch up at BBC

Pitch Battle, with Gareth Malone, left, may have sunk even faster than Let it Shine but BBC bosses won’t be put off the concept of Saturday night singing shows. They’ve ordered a one-off (please, God) special featuring tribute acts to the likes of George Michael, Amy Winehouse and Ed Sheeran. Viewers will vote for the winner. Airing in late summer, it’s called Even Better Than The Real Thing. We’ll be the judge of that... That’s not all. The makers of Sky 1’s Lip Sync Battle are to make a singingbased game show for BBC1. And also on the way are The Chart, fronted by Zoe Ball and Roman Kemp, and All Together Now, in which the audience join in. Let’s hope they’re better than Pitch Battle. Shouldn’t be too hard.
