Hansen won’t rap U-turn ref
STEVE HANSEN has refused to blame referee Romain Poite for the failure to kill off the Lions.
Poite awarded the All Backs a late kickable penalty, then changed his mind and ruled it “accidental” offside.
Yet New Zealand boss Hansen chose to focus on his team’s shortcomings. “Look, it was an average way for it to finish,” he said.
“But that’s sport. We’ve got to accept that and move on and get better at what we’re trying to do.
“We’re disappointed because we didn’t take the opportunities.”
