Hannah: Donor saved me
HANNAH Whittam had a rare heart and lung transplant 12 years ago and urges people to join the Donor Register.
In a wheelchair with 24-hour oxygen, she was fighting to stay alive before the operation. Now 23, nursery assistant Hannah, from London, said: “My family thought Christmas 2004 was going to be my last. But here I am celebrating another birthday. That’s all down to my donor. I never imagined I could live this life. I am so thankful to the family.”
