Little battler who moved the nation

-

LITTLE Bradley Lowery’s passing had to be expected, but I don’t suppose anyone who has followed this brave young man’s story hadn’t hoped for a miraculous recovery.

The only blessing is that he will no longer suffer the pain he so cheerfully endured.

I am sure his family will receive messages and cards of condolence from around the globe, and none more gratefully received than from his best friend Jermain Defoe who has been an inspiration not only to Bradley, but to his family and friends. Brian Davies Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk I was heartbroken to read that Bradley Lowery had passed away after bravely battling neuroblastoma. This beautiful little boy touched the hearts of millions when he became the mascot for Sunderland and was befriended by Jermain Defoe. It was so touching to see their friendship develop as it obviously meant so much to them both. I don’t usually have much time for overpaid footballers, but Jermain has won my respect and admiration for the way he helped Bradley and his family. I send my sincere condolences to Brad’s family and friends. D Thorton, Sunderland I would like to pass on my condolences to all the family of little Bradley Lowery. I have followed his story since the campaign for him to receive loads of Christmas cards last year. He was such a brave boy and always had a smile on his face, especially when he was with his hero Jermain Defoe.

Bless all Brad’s family and friends – you had a very special little boy who will be missed terribly. Christine Bennett, via email I had tears rolling down my cheeks when I read that little Bradley had succumbed to the cancer he had fought so hard since he was 18 months old. He was only six, but the effect this little lad had on people was amazing.

Next time you complain about a minor ailment or problem, just remember all that little Bradley had to suffer in his short life.

He was a true inspiration and his memory will live on. Goodbye, beautiful Bradley, we will miss you. Tracey Hargreaves South London To all those in favour of Sunderland having a memorial game for Bradley Lowery with ticket sales going to the neuroblastoma charities who helped this young hero, I say let’s make it happen.

Rest in peace, Bradley, you will not be forgotten. Billie Gavican, Plymouth It brought tears to my eyes knowing that Bradley Lowery has left this world and gone to where the angels live. God bless you, Bradley, you shall continue to watch over your family until the day you are all reunited again in heaven. Natalie Woodruff Walsall, West Mids My thoughts are with the family of Bradley Lowery who has passed away from cancer. He was such a brave little boy with the brightest of smiles. Bradley won our hearts and was an inspiration to us all. RIP, brave little warrior and God bless. Wendy Tilley, Cardiff
