‘Power drop’ in VW diesels

OWNERS of VW Dieselgate cars will today describe them developing a dangerous new fault, echoing claims in the Mirror.

On BBC One’s Watchdog tonight drivers tell of cars that had been called for a software upgrade after the emissions storm, suddenly decelerating to 20mph.

VW said most owners were satisfied, adding: “There is no systemic problem.” In April we told of 3,500 drivers having problems after an upgrade, a small number whose cars lost speed suddenly.
