Aldi the best, say shoppers

ALDI has overtaken Marks & Spencer and Waitrose as the best supermarket for customer satisfaction in a biannual UK survey.

Amazon retained its overall top place in the poll of more than 10,000 shoppers, by the Institute of Customer Service.

It was followed by First Direct, John Lewis and Jet2holidays, with Subway and Next joint fifth.

The study found 28% of consumers favoured excellent service – even if it meant paying more.
