Track smash Fogarty quits

MOTORBIKE ace Carl Fogarty has quit racing after he was badly hurt in a spectacular crash.

The four-times world superbike champ, 52, was airlifted to hospital with broken ribs, a punctured lung and a fractured shoulder blade on Sunday.

He was taking part in a 100-rider Dirt Quake race in King’s Lynn, Norfolk.

The 2014 I’m A Celebrity winner said from hospital: “Sunday was going mega. Won five out of six heats. Errr, then had a little crash. Nothing really too bad.”
