TEAM SKY boss Sir Dave Brailsford insists he has never considered quitting over UK Anti-Doping’s raid on his empire.

Brailsford (left) has been plotting Chris Froome’s path towards Sky’s fifth Yellow Jersey win in six years with UKAD yet to publish results of their investigation into allegations of malpractice at the cycling powerhouse launched on a clean-team manifesto.

Asked if he had ever considered quitting, Brailsford said: “No, never. This has never impacted on my enjoyment and being involved in this job.

“Given its past, cycling has faced up to the fact it’s going to attract a greater degree of scrutiny than other sports.

“As a team, we set ourselves up with a very clear agenda and it puts us under scrutiny, and there is no issue with that – as long as the scrutiny is fair and reported correctly.

“This is dragging on a little bit, but I am very confident we will be cleared of wrongdoing.”
