Rocket-fired GB to China

RONNIE O’SULLIVAN will lead Great Britain into a new Ryder Cup-style tournament against China later this month.

The Internatio­nal Challenge will take place in Shenzen, starting on July 29.

Five-time world champion O’Sullivan, of England, will be joined by Joe Perry, Michael Holt, Mark Williams, of Wales, and Scotland’s Graeme Dott.

And they will take on a powerful home team led by Ding Junhui and featuring Liang Wenbo.

RAVI SHASTRI has been appointed India coach until the 2019 World Cup.

Shastri, 55, will replace former captain Anil Kumble, who stepped down as coach after falling out with captain Virat Kohli.

Former batting great Rahul Dravid was appointed as batting consultant for overseas Test series.
