Hammers want Hart on a season loan

- BY DARREN LEWIS

WEST HAM will aim to land Joe Hart from Manchester City this week.

The Hammers are hopeful a deal can be done to finally end the England keeper’s nightmare situation at the Etihad.

Hart, 30, has no future at City with boss Pep Guardiola splashing out £35million for Ederson from Benfica this

summer. City still want £20m for their former stopper, who has 71 caps for England.

But with no takers, West Ham believe they could be open to a season-long loan.

Hart spent last season on loan at Torino but wants to be back in the Premier League after the Italian club decided against taking up their option to sign him.

Neither Spaniard Adrian nor Republic of Ireland international Darren Randolph were convincing as the Hammers’ No.1 last season, with London Stadium manager Slaven Bilic leaving both of them out for lengthy spells.
