KEEPING NAT IS CONTE’S CHAL-LENGE
ANTONIO CONTE has offered Nathaniel Chalobah a new £17million Chelsea contract, in a last-ditch bid to keep his starlet.
England Under-21 midfielder Chalobah, 22, is wanted by Premier League Watford and has other top-flight suitors, too.
He has just one year left on his £45,000-a-week contract and wants regular first-team football.
He got a title medal with Chelsea last season after 10 league appearances, despite making only one start.
But Blues boss Conte is a big fan and has contacted Chalobah (above) to promise him a wage rise to around £65,000 a week. The youngster will also get more first-team action, if he commits to a new five-year deal.
