A3 users pay heavy Tol

A MAJOR crisis was narrowly avoided at Wimbledon after a crash at the Tolworth junction on the A3.

Stuck in the six miles of traffic after the accident along with Andy Murray were around 80 ball kids plus a number of line judges and members of staff heading for SW19. It took one member of the communications team three hours to travel just 10 miles on their way in.

A Wimbledon spokesperson said: “It was all fine in the end but we were a little concerned in the morning.”
