Flu drug ‘nice little earner’
A FLU drug found to work no better than paracetamol was a “nice little earner”, an expert said.
Tamiflu lost its World Health Organisation essential status last month, which was “far too late”, said Prof Mark Ebell, of Georgia University.
In 2014, the £600million the UK spent stockpiling it against avian flu was called “money down the drain”.
Prof Ebell said Swiss firm Roche had a “nice little earner, generating $18billion worldwide”.
