Prisoners with own cell keys told: Lock yourself in

-

PRISONERS are to be given the keys to their own cells to encourage them to “behave more responsibly”.

Inmates will have computer touch-screens so they can order groceries, the Dutch Justice Ministry said.

The scheme at four jails means convicts will be able to mix freely until lock-in at 9.30pm. But a union leader said: “It makes it easier to do things like drug dealing.”
