Clarkson and Co’s £35.8m Grand Tour
JEREMY Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May received £35.8million to make Grand Tour on Amazon last year.
Details of the payments are revealed in accounts for their company Chump Holdings Limited, which was formed when the trio left the BBC’s Top Gear.
The gang were paid £3.75million between them “for presenting services” and one of the firm’s directors, which includes show producer Andy Wilman, was paid £1.3million.
Taking away the £6.7million profit and £1.7million tax, it means more than £2million went on each of the 13 episodes.
Grand Tour was created after Clarkson was sacked for an “unprovoked physical and verbal attack” on a Top Gear producer.
