JETTING ABROAD

-

EasyJet is setting up a new airline in Austria because of Brexit.

The budget carrier is using the country to get a licence – called an Air Operator Certificate – allowing it to fly over and within the EU. It follows uncertainty about how UK-based airlines will stand post-Brexit.

EasyJet will shell out £10million to register 100 aircraft in Austria but says that no UK jobs will be lost.
