NADIYA’S BRITISH FOOD ADVENTURE
From the moment Nadiya Hussain welled up on national television, the humble winner of The Great British Bake Off 2015, and gave that now famous acceptance speech, we knew.
We knew that Nadiya would sooner or later get her very own cookery show.
And here it is, an eight-part culinary road trip around Britain, meeting food producers and pioneers and creating delicious new recipes using their produce.
She says: “I’m a busy mum and I cook every day so I try to keep my food exciting.” Cue images of her feeding her kids amazing meals – no fish fingers or turkey twizzlers here.
And as she whips up some cheese scones, she has a natural ease in front of the camera. She’s good at this.
If Nigella is flirtatious chef, Gordon is angry chef and Jamie is campaigner chef, then we’d have Nadiya as cool mum chef. Mary Berry would be proud.
