Slip-up pupils get it in neck
PARENTS have branded a school Britain’s strictest after pupils had to wear signs around their necks saying: “I have 24 hours to sort out my uniform.”
New rules include penalties for having too-shiny shoes, looking at the clock and tapping on tables, claim mums and dads.
Petula Peacock, 49, said they had caused “uproar”.
But Nick Short, head at Merchants Academy, Withywood, Bristol, said the policy had led to much better behaviour in class.
