‘Rude’ shop boss sells up

A “RUDE” shopkeeper who charged customers 50p just for browsing has announced he is selling up.

Steve Bloom, 64, of Bloomindales in Hawes, North Yorks, said it was his choice and a campaign against him had failed.

Mr Bloom had a battle with the parish council after 20 complaints over his treatment of shoppers.

He said: “They could not get rid of me, so I won.”

Mr Bloom admitted calling one customer “a pain in the a***”.
