‘Strap Tories to river raft’

-

DAVID Cameron says he would like to strap certain top Tory MPs to a “very, very dangerous” river raft.

The ex-PM is chairman of the National Citizen Service he set up while in office in which children take part in adventure sports.

Mr Cameron was asked if any former Cabinet colleagues should be sent on one of its courses. He said: “If it involved crossing a very, very dangerous river on a raft, I can think of a few I’d want to strap together.” He also delivered a thinly veiled attack on Theresa May in the Evening Standard – edited by his best friend and the former Chancellor, George Osborne. He said: “It is very important that the Conservative Party doesn’t slip backwards.”
