Naming dead at Grenfell is ‘harder now’
IDENTIFYING victims of the Grenfell Tower tragedy is becoming harder, an inquest heard yesterday.
Yahya Hashim, 13, was one of four more victims named as their inquests opened. He was identified by dental records.
Now 37 people out of at least 80 who were killed have been formally identified. Eric Sword, of Westminster coroner’s court, said inquests had been opened in 34 cases.
He said Dr Fiona Wilcox told the hearing identification was “becoming more difficult” as a result of “what we are dealing with”.
Sirria Choucair, 60, Marjorie Vital, 68, and Kamru Miah, 79, were also named. The inquests were adjourned while the criminal probe continues.
