There are three things I have to take with me.

1. Crisps. Cheese and onion, Walkers. Because, let’s face it, no one else in the world can make decent crisps, can they?

2. Nail clippers. First thing in the holiday case. Nails grow about a million miles an hour in the heat – or so it seems – and foreign soil is the only place the feet are on show. Too much info, sorry.

3. The Sunday papers. Guess I would say that. Whatever day I travel, I always have a few Sunday newspapers in the luggage. Costs a few quid in baggage allowance,
