As a showbiz journalist, sleep is never usually very high up on the old priority list. But when it comes to holidays – it most certainly is.

And to ensure my 40 winks is of tip-top quality, my own duvet and pillows are a must for any time away. Granted, it’s tricky if you’re jetting off to the Big Apple for the weekend.

But given my family holiday normally entails chucking my two kids in the car and driving down to the south of France for a week in a static caravan, suddenly throwing in some soft bedding isn’t such an ordeal.

Rather that than run the risk of thin, scratchy sheets. I need my beauty sleep, after all.
