Guardiola stuck with City flops

- FROM DAVID McDONNELL in Houston

PEP GUARDIOLA is struggling to offload his Manchester City rejects.

City are trying to jettison up to seven members of his squad to raise funds and make way for new arrivals.

Joe Hart, Eliaquim Mangala, Samir Nasri, Wilfried Bony, Fabian Delph, Fernando and Kelechi Iheanacho have been told they can go.

City value them at a total of around £150million, but are struggling to get anywhere near that amount for them because there is such little interest in the Etihad outcasts.

England No.1 Hart was valued at £25m by City, but has agreed to join West Ham on a season-long loan with a view to making the move permanent for just £10m next summer.

Iheanacho, another player valued at £25m by City, is expected to join Leicester for £15m, while Mangala, bought for £42m, is in talks over a move to Lyon for less than £20m.

Nasri has been included on City’s tour of the US – where they face Manchester United in Houston on Friday – so he can gain fitness, making it more likely City will be able to sell him.
