Burn-up in a dragster

A DRAG racer is engulfed in flames doing a deliberate “burn out’ on the start line.

Driver Dave Nelson held up a V for victory sign as flames licked around him.

He was warming up the rear tyres, which were doused in fuel before the friction of the wheels ignited the fluid.

Dave went on to complete the sprint at the “Dragstalgia” event, hosted by Santa Pod Raceway in Northamptonshire.
