SPORTS presenter Clare Balding has a sneaking suspicion about one of her ancestors.
BBC2, 10pm For the uninitiated, there is a parody news site called The Daily Mash which spits out sardonic articles such as: “May unable to do deal at Tesco checkout” and “Selfish nurses quitting to kick back and enjoy their massive wealth”.
The deadpan “news” reports provide a hilarious dig at current affairs of the week and now the writers of The Daily Mash bring their talents to the small screen in a show inspired by late-night American TV.
Comedian Nish Kumar is at the helm, keeping a live studio audience informed on everything that has happened – or not happened – over the past few days.
He and his team, including Ellie Taylor, Steve N Allen and Rachel Parris, will lampoon everything from hard news to showbiz.
