Staff post rage over easy start

-

Royal Mail boss Moya Greene has been slammed for starting a £60,000-a-year, part-time job at budget airline easyJet early. The postal giant’s near £1.9million-a-year chief began as one of the airline’s non-executive directors yesterday. Greene, pictured, was due to start in September but brought it forward to help easyJet’s search to replace boss Carolyn McCall, who is leaving to run ITV. The Communication Workers Union, which is fighting a planned pensions shake-up for nearly 90,000 workers, attacked the move. Terry Pullinger, deputy general secretary of the CWU, said: “It is extremely concerning that the chief executive of the company should have enough time on her hands to take another job.” Royal Mail said: “Our CEO, as always, is highly committed to Royal Mail.”
