BLOWN AWAY.. AND THE WINDS COULD RETURN

YESTERDAY’S practice rounds were called off due to rain and strong winds – and the Southport course may not have seen the last of the bad weather. Today’s first round should be fine – but tomorrow’s forecast is not so good. TODAY: A damp start but mostly fine for most of the day’s play with sunny spells. Cloudier during the evening with an increasing chance (30%) of showers. Winds of 15mph gusting in places. Max temp 18C. TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy and windy with outbreaks of rain including some heavier spells. Winds generally SE 15-20mph with gusts 30mph, and perhaps gusts of 35mph for a time. Max temp 17C. WEEKEND: Changeable with a mixture of sunny spells and showers, perhaps heavy at times. Max temps 17 to 19C.
