May’s away... for three weeks
THERESA May will walk away from troubled No10 for three weeks in the longest break of any Prime Minister in recent years.
May, 60, will hike in Italy and Switzerland with husband Philip, 59, in a break split only by an official trip to the First World War Belgian battlefields on July 31 for the centenary of the outbreak of the Battle of Passchendaele.
Predecessor David Cameron also liked to take three weeks off, but would stagger them.
Chancellor Philip Hammond and First Secretary Damian Green will be the duty ministers while Mrs May is away, it is understood.
It came as her voter satisfaction rating fell to -25 in an Ipsos MORI poll for the Evening Standard.
