Infants miss out on dental health check-ups

Around 80% of children aged 1-2 didn’t visit an NHS dentist in the 12 months to the end of March 2017, the Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons found. That’s despite guidance advising that children should start check-ups when they develop their first tooth. The analysis also found that almost 60% of children aged 1-4 didn’t have a dental check-up in the same period.
