Finding an affordable smartphone with premium features is tough these days, with most of the big brands’ flagship devices falling into the £600-700 price bracket.
But the new Honor 9 hits the nail on the head, boasting a curved glass body, a dual-lens camera, a huge 3,200mAh battery that can last for over two days, and a full HD display.
There are no gimmicks on this phone. It doesn’t have the stunning curvedglass display of the Samsung Galaxy S8, the incredible slowmotion video capture of the Sony Xperia XZ Premium, nor the squeezability of the innovative HTC U11. Huawei has even resisted tinkering too much with the Android 7.0 operating system, offering a clean user interface with only a few additional settings such as an eye comfort mode. But while the Honor 9 fails to break any new ground, it offers both highend specs and quality design at a fraction of the price of its rivals – making it well worth a look.
