CITY TOLD MENDY .. LIKE KYLE WILL COST £54

MANCHESTER CITY have had a £44.5million bid rejected for Monaco’s Benjamin Mendy – and been told he will cost the same as Kyle Walker.

The French champions dismissed City’s offer for the defender (right) on the basis Walker moved from Tottenham in a deal worth up to £54m. But Monaco are likely to sell if City meet their asking price. They face late competition from Chelsea, who wanted Juventus left-back Alex Sandro but the deal stalled.
