BRITAIN’S Got Talent’s dancing dog Pudsey has died from leukaemia.

The Border Collie cross was gazing into owner Ashleigh Butler’s eyes as vets put him to sleep, her family announced.

Ashleigh, 22, who won the 2012 contest dancing alongside him, last night said she was heartbroken over his death.

She posted online: “I can’t honestly believe I am writing these words. My handsome man has gone, and I don’t know what to do without him.

“My heart is broken, and I don’t know how I’m going to get through this.

“It hurts so much that my handsome, incredible Pudsey Bear will never be by my side, where he belongs, again. We only had 11 years together but they were the best years ever. He was my one in a billion dog that will never be replaced.” Ashleigh’s mum Penny wrote on Facebook that the family is “devastated and in shock with how quick this has all happened”. She wrote: “We would have done anything to keep him with us. But he didn’t have any more time as acute leukaemia made us take the heartbreaking decision.” Simon Cowell called Pudsey “one of the best dancing dogs I’ve seen”. The pet that touched the nation’s hearts went on to perform for the Queen and in his own movie.
